This is a really cool article that talks about the rise of ‘like’ in our daily speech, with specific examples going back to the 1920s.

What the article doesn’t consider is how social media is adding to/transforming our use of the word.  I’m definitely interested to see what the significance of those new uses are to the future of the word.
